Anyone whom obtained there license before 1997, and is over the ages of 21 years is automatically qualified to drive a minibus with a capacity of 16 persons with their D1 entitlement.
Anybody whom has passed there after Jan 97 are not permitted to drive a vehicle containing more than 8 persons and would have to take another driving test to obtain there next classification in the driving license. There are however certain exceptions for people driving a vehicle over 3500kgs if the vehicle is designed to be used in conjunction with a wheelchair access point.
