Luxury and executive vehicles are specifically designed to increase the comfort of the driver and also its passengers by having additional features installed such as air conditioning, leather seating, in car entertainment and satellite navigation systems. When building a luxury car the designer’s emphasis is focused on areas such as comfort, appearance/style, performance and utilities. They are usually equipped with all the latest technological advances and are built in limited editions as opposed to mass market vehicles.
The executive car emphasises on standing out from the crowd and is regarded as a business tool that enables its users to exploit the ever evolving motorway networks we face today.
When we use the term "executive car" we are describing a vehicle that is larger than a family car, but not a high end or luxury car. Executive cars are relatively expensive and are generally used by successful professionals or used as company cars. These vehicles are designed for comfort and are usually 5 door saloons, but can also come in coupe or estate models.
Early executive cars typically offered engines of between 2.0 and 3.5 litres in size, compared with 1.6 to 2.4 litres of a large family car; these days the average family saloon is more likely to be a two-litre car with executive cars generally starting at around 2.5 litres
There are many companies that manufacture executive cars such as, Saab, Renault, Peugeot, Ford, BMW, Mercedes etc.
Luxury Cars
Luxury cars are expensive vehicles that are built with fine detail and precision, incorporating the latest technological advances in in-car entertainment and comfort. Luxury vehicles usually place more emphasis on comfort, appearance, and amenities such as technological upgrades and higher quality materials than on performance, economy, or utility. They are manufactured in smaller numbers than mass market vehicles and come in models such as saloon, coupe, hatchback, station wagon, roadster, etc.
A preferential means of transport used mostly by the rich and famous to get around, the limo offers luxury and style in abundance. Basically the limousine is an extension of a large salon car which is built on a longer frame and has a larger wheel base. There are two main sections to a Limo, the front compartment where the driver is situated and the rear compartment where the passengers will be seated whilst being transported to their chosen destinations.
